Firewood Retriever

Thought y'all would get a kick out of this.

My partner Tim and I were patrolling around the lake the other day and came upon this odd situation. Tim got out of the truck to open a park gate and when I drove through he had this weird look on his face and was pointing at a dog. The dog just appeared out of the woods and looked like he was on some sort of mission. I noticed the large chunk of firewood hanging out of his mouth, which explained the confused look on Tim’s face. The dogs owner came walking up about that time and explained that his dog had been retrieving firewood for years. He went on to say that the dog has just always had a helpful spirit and what better way of helping his master than providing him with firewood, for warmth, cooking and log cabin construction materials.

We issued the dog a ticket for removing firewood from public property and had him return all the firewood he had stolen over the past few years.................Just kidding:)
